protests
While I’ve remained a bit too ignorant about all the happenings surrounding the NATO summit the past couple days, here’s what I’ve realized from my few brushes with it:
- Chicago has a lot of snow plows O.O
- There are a lot of people joining the protests with no idea what it really is about
- You don’t mess with CPD. Ever.
Here’s hoping that the Boeing building isn’t going to be trashed when I go there tomorrow.

Chicago, Chicago… on Flickr.
Officers line the crosswalk at the Roosevelt and Michigan Avenue intersection in an effort to contain demonstrators protesting (amongst a laundry list of grievances) the Chicago 2012 NATO Summit. Sunday, May 20th, 2012. (Chris Johnson)

MY KIND OF TOWN!
Saw all this fanciness just a couple blocks away from me
exotic-chemistry asked: speaking of cars, guess what --I'm getting one! I've been driving my dad's SUV for the longest time. It's nothing like the sleek cars you post about --in fact, it's pretty ugly. but it's something. :) We are having a red ext / grey int 2001 Pontiac Sunfire with 97k miles on it checked out by a mechanic & if it clears, it's gonna be mine! Yay! :) I think I'll know by the end of the week. :)
yay, that’s awesome! Sunfires are nice. Be careful re: the mileage though. I’d be a bit wary of that. And it’s all good, my car is nothing like what I post about. I was *this* close to getting a Mazda rx-8, but that’s another story…haha
Hope you like the new car if you get it!
just found out that justin bieber owns a Fisker Karma
….and he decided to make it all chrome.
Kill it w/ fire.
i see your herp and raise you one derp
It’s that pure, 140% derp that makes hanging out with friends from back home so fun.
No drama, no school, no nothing.
Just idiocy.
it’s summer-ish
School’s out.
Did “market research” by eating at different restaurants all over Chi.
Got to watch a great movie with a bunch of friends I’ve made over the past 2 years.
3.5 months of craziness await.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s summer. (if the sudden increase in humidity wasn’t a hint)
